HOPE JONES VISIT

Here are the gorgeous ATC's that Hope Jones made for me as a gift...PLUS a Veggie bag filled with vegetable goodies like Marrow(summer squash), gerkhin, garlic, carrots, tomatos and garden peas. Hmmmmm good!

On july 22, Hope Jones and I had the most wonderful visit. Hope is from America... she is getting married in September. It was onderful hearing her Wedding Plans.
We talked for hours about everything from A-Z. There was so much to catch up on in America and It was nice being able to share some of the lovely spots of England my husband David and I have travelled to since I came here in 2004.
We ate teacakes, cookies and hot tea. We exchanged gifts. This was the Welcome to england gift accordian book I made for Hope.

Mother-In -Law Get Well Decorated Letter

I have been really busy between helping my Hubby recoup from knee-surgery for 2 weeks and visiting my Mother-In-Law in hospital. So in my spare moments of the day...I would craft.

Here is a Plaque I put to gether for her...I ran out of Letters...so Ingenious Crafter (me) created the letter from 3 different cardboard square cut-outs ....then glued them together and sanded them smooth on the edges all around giving the appearance of a chipboard letter...then I gesso and sanded it again....(the Letter D for her first name Doreen.)...I used QVC-Dawn Bibby....All Occassions print paper .....along with some embellishment letters from the kit. The Plaque turned out lovlier than I imagined. I am so proud of myself...as this is my first Letter Craft I have created handmade literally in every step from meer basic materials...

GIFT FROM DAWN

Today I received in my mail a WONDERFUL GIFT from DAWN GOLD....I was doing a Happy Dance all over my livingroom! The BOOK is entitled....
Paper Transformed by Julia Andrus. It is just filled with exciting projects! There are various elements of embossing, inking, blending recipes. I must have been reading the book for over an hour just at first sitting. I was quite mezmerized at the many techniques..for which some I thought to difficult are actually very easy to do. I will be..... journeying into a new craft horizon .....learning & more learning. That's the nice thing about having a hobby in(CRAFTING) Papercrafting.....you never stop learning!
DAWN GOLD..I THANK-YOU SO MUCH FROM MY WHOLE HEART!
