I am in creative throws for another project involving...lots of detail, lace, stamping and print papers and a lil acrylic paint...but this one is a Surprise for a Precious Friend ..she is a crafter too. So I will be sharing with you all the details shortly....

PAPER WHIMSY ; Enchanted room partner

After a lil sabbatical from my crafts..I am back to share with you Enchanted Room I received from Heather Corn .... my exchange partner in Paper Whimsy. I was Quite Delighted!....Mary, Mary Quite contrary... I love the flower petals with faces and the pathway...looks for real...love the flower pot ensemble.

SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS SHADOW BOX

Just as promised ..I am sharing pics from my first Shadow Box!
It's a project for Paper Whimsy. I have used Paper Whimsy Image cut-outs/background Images.... along with Gypsy Image Backgrond paper..I have handmade the table Grumpy is standing on...mounted on an ornament mirror given as a gift and above attached a ribbon. I have high-lighted Snow White's hair bows with red color pens I have used shields from my Medieval cd-rom. I have also used miniature toy 7 seven dwarfs. All around I have had a great time working on this shadow box...rather proud for a first attempt!

PAPER WHIMSY ; ENCHANTING ROOM PROJECT

Hello Fellow Crafters & Artist:
Well I am back from my Sabbatical and ready to share again.
I have recently become a member to Paper Whimsy Group. It's a wonderful group filled with inspiring, creative, friendly, caring and very motivated crafters & artist.
I am involved in a project to create an Enchanting Room. I took my time in sketching several drafts until I realized..my favourite fairy tale was Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs. I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade if I recall correctly..when I played as one of the Seven dwarfs..I was the dwarf bashful. The whole class had a part and we performed for our Parents and school Staff. I recall being a bundle of nerves too. We had such great fun creating our costumes. Come to think of it..that's when I realized how much I liked art. Little did I realize it would follow me well into my adult life.
So back to my Enchanted room..I have 4 rooms..a front and back and sides to decorate.
The front shows a picture of Snow white framed along with some velvet leaves and the outside of the frame outlined in gold glitter with roses on all 4 corners of the picture.
All the rooms depict snow white..the seven dwarfs, the wicked step-mother and the mirror. I have implemented trees, and hand made a table..there's a chair with Snow White sitting in it and on her lap is a basket of apples. There is the bridge that the Seven Dwarfs cross singing merrily to work and back home. The back side has a castle and a knight riding on a horse..racing to rescue Snow White...then I have made swirls on all sides.
I think i have wet your viewing appetite..so be on the look out for the finished product soon...It is my first shadow box room to decorate..and it's totally fun!

ALTERED BOTTLE ART

HERE IS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT CREATING A ALTERED ART BOTTLE.
THIS BOTTLE WAS GESSO'D ..THEN PAINTED WHITE WITH ACRYLIC PAINT....STAMPED WITH BLUE
TEASPOONS....ADORNED WITH SAPPHIRE BLUE BEADS ABOUT THE NECK OF THE BOTTLE.
I MELTED WAX..SLIGHTLY COOLED...THEN STAMPED A TEAPOT IMAGE WHICH WAS LATER PAINTED BLUE...FINISHING TOUCH IS THE BROWN LAEBL...INDICATING "REMEMBER WHEN".
IT TOOL ME MOST OF A FULL DAY TO GET IT DONE..BUT HERE IT IS!

New Year Project 2010

I decided to create a New Year's journal for my ideas....always thinking of something
then before I know it...it slips my mind. This book was decorated with Bohemian Print Paper and the border is tied with milti-colored ribbons. My little Lion is an emblem representing England(UK)
