Scissor Pouches!

Well, finally I completed my set of Scissor Pouches...made with print paper scraps and lace trimmings..I now have something to keep my scissors handy. Small one for my embroidery scissors, the medium for my general work scissors..maybe, I'll make a large one for my zig-zag scissors I use for sewing....That size will be an extra large..I'm Sure!

Altered Art Magnet

Well....here I am again...haven't been involved in creating for a few weeks .....as I have been suffering with some Respiratory/Gall stone problems. So there have been a lot of tests and x-rays. I am just beginning to feel a lot like creating with my Altered Arts. I have created a Parfum bottle on card stock...with Bohemian theme print paper........decorated with an Image of a woman...letters and gems. This Parfum bottle is made for Laila..... my Daughter in America..something nice she can put up on her fridge..or other board that is magnetic.
I think.... this is my motivator to take pictures of some items I created with a bit of Mixed Media Art elements and share them with you.
Upon opening a craft closet....I realized .... there were quite a few creations I dabbled with.... a few months ago...before I got ill and didn't get around to uploading them. So keep a look out for some special things!

In Sympathy

Febuary09

It has been an extremely saddened month as there was a death in the family. My ex-husband, John Russell Jump, the Father of my Son and Daughter...Jason and Laila Jump. I am unable to travel back to America for the funeral...but have created a Sympathy card for John's Mother Cindy. John had heart trouble and contracted the flu...which ended in death. John was a rustic country sort of man..love the high desert in Antelope Valley in California. After our divorce ..... He bought land in Littlerock , Llano rural territory and worked the land himself.....digging a well and utilizing a generators for electricity. He then moved two mobile homes on the property....one for his Mother Cindy and one for himself. ...he took pride in purchasing his land. Periodically, our Son, Jason would go spend weeks to months with him....when he would take a sabbatical from trucking.. Our lives took different paths after 7 years of marriage....but it's still shocking to receive this type of news.... that he passed on.

ALTERED JOURNAL

I have created an Altered Journal for a gift for a daughter of a very special friend of mine...Nicole.
Her daughter Sissy will be delighted to write in this special prepared Journal for her.
I used a lot of scraps and excess ribbons to tie the binder ring with...used some tea stamps, print papers and yarn for border around the center Image.

This was fun to make!

WE HAVE SHARED IN SEEING THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES INAUGURATED INTO PRESIDENCY.
I AM PARTICULARLY PLEASED TO SHARE THAT MY GRANDMOTHER IS ALIVE AND KICKING TO SEE THIS AUTHENTIC CHANGE IN HISTORY. SHE IS 95 YEARS OF AGE.

I HAVE BEEN SLACKING OFF CRAFTING SINCE DECEMBER..BUT I'M ON THE ROLL AGAIN...SO LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ME UPLOAD SOME UNIQUE ATCS, GREETING CARDS AND MIXED MEDIA ART DESIGNS THROUGHOUT THIS YEAR.
